Eighties Bombshell Finds God, Sells Lontong Sayur

jpnn.com - JAKARTA – Eva Arnaz, a sex bomb in 80’s, has no longer lived glamorously like a celebrity and she has been a devout muslim with decent clothes and a long veil covering her body. She has been religious since she stepped on the holy land, Mecca. “I left for the holy land to cleanse my sins. I begged and cried for mercy,” she explained.

She started to change after she arrived home. “Back from Mecca, I continued my shooting activities. But I no longer felt okay. I couldn’t find comforts there,” she added. Then she chose to learn her belief more. She even had learned about the Qur’an for two years.

“I decided to learn the Qur’an, not only to learn to read and its tajweed but also to understand its meaning,” she elaborated her past. She learned a lot from it and she also decided to cleanse her wealth she got from her acting career by selling all her assets.

She is now living a modest life and runs her own culinary business. “I have reduced my shooting activities since 1991,” said Eva to INDOPOS, a Jawa Pos group member, in Smesco building, South Jakarta, yesterday.

Eva presented her new business in an expo of artists along with some other celebrities. Eva sells traditional cuisine from Betawi, lontong sayur (rice-cake with soup). She also sells fashionable muslim attire with various and attractive styles.

“I have found invaluable experience in this activity,” she said. Her decision to leave her acting career was final. “I walked a wrong path. A woman is a like a diamond, it shouldn’t be touched,” Eva said wisely.

Eva has found enlightenment since her fourth marriage failed. Her expectation to have a happy and hopeful life was improbable when she was still revealing her curvy body on screen. “I wanted happiness but I walked on a deviated path.
